Prussian First Foot Guards Regiment Officer M1894 mitre for the 1st Battalion. This regiment was based in Potsdam, Germany. The motto "Semper Talis" is present on the front plate. The metal plate, side panels, and trim all exhibit a very heavy dark patina. Officer chin scales are missing, except for the mounted end. Red wool is faded with several small moth nips. Brown leather sweatband has moderate wear and damage and is only partially attached. Officer silk liner is partially present with very little of it remaining attached.
