1901 vintage Colt Frontier Six Shooter single action revolver, serial number 205892. 5 - 1/2" round barrel chambered in .44-40 Winchester Center Fire with standard SAA front sight and notched rear. Matching serial numbers on backstrap, trigger guard, and frame. One line Colt Hartford, CT address on top of barrel with "COLT FRONTIER SIX SHOOTER .44-40" on left side. 2 piece checkered gutta percha grips with eagle and Rampant Colt on either side. This gun was shipped to Farwell, Ozmun, Kirk & Co. of St. Paul, Minnesota February 16, 1901 and was the only gun in the shipment. CONDITION: Very good as totally refinished with scattered moderate wear. Front sight has been filed and reshaped. Grips are good as sanded and refit with eagle and rampant colt just barely legible and checkering worn flat. Action works correctly and is tight. Bore is frosted with visible rifling and modest wear. -TN-
