Manufactured in 1928, this Colt Police Positive Special revolver features all blue finish, and is mounted with 2 piece Colt silver medallion checkered walnut grips. The 4" barrel features a half-moon blade front sight, with the serrated top strap featuring a notched rear sight. The left side of the barrel is stamped "POLICE/ POSITIVE SPECIAL 32-20 W.C.F.", with Colt's 2 line address across the top. Left side of the frame bears the Rampant Colt logo. Trigger is smooth, with the hammer being checkered. Complete with a later production Colt Official Police factory cardboard box containing 2 warranty cards, a Colt "Handling the Handgun" pamphlet, and an original receipt from the 1970's. CONDITION: Metal components retain the majority of their original factory blue finish, exhibiting some small areas of wear and light freckling all around. Cylinder shows areas of wear and thinning, as well as some light oxidation. Mirror bore with sharp rifling throughout. Checkered wood grips, show some light smoothing, as well as a few scattered handling marks. Later production factory cardboard box shows wear all around, exhibiting several tears, as well as several taped repairs. A nice example of a Colt Police Positive Special revolver, that is close to a century old. -MLW-
