Lot consist of: (A) Colt Army Special double action revolver. Made 1923. Left side of the barrel is marked "COLT ARMY/SPECIAL 32-20 W.C.F." with patent dates of 1884, 1900, and 1905 on top of the barrel. "VP" proof on the left side of the trigger guard, with a rampant Colt pony on the left side of the frame. Matching serials on the frame and yolk. Round steel barrel with half moon front sight and U notch cut out rear. Factory blued finish with the hammer left in the white. Factory hard rubber grips. CONDITION: Metal retains 90% of its original finish with a few handling marks and scratches. Grips are excellent. Bore has sharp rifling. Tight hammer and cylinder. Good timing and lock up. Light drag lines on the cylinder. Mechanically fine. (B) Colt Army Special double action revolver. This revolver has a large bulge in the barrel and should NOT be fired. Made 1927. Left side of the barrel is marked "COLT ARMY/SPECIAL 32-20 W.C.F." with patent dates of 1884, 1905 and 1926 on top of the barrel. "VP" proof on the left side of the trigger guard, with a rampant Colt pony on the left side of the frame. Matching serials on the frame and yolk. Round steel barrel with half moon front sight and u-notch cut out rear. Factory blued finish with the hammer left in the white. Grips look to be reproduction hard rubber grips. CONDITION: Metal retains 95% of its original finish with a few handling marks. Grips are excellent. Bore is shiny, with crisp rifling. Tight hammer and cylinder. Good timing and lockup. Light drag lines on the cylinder. Mechanically operable, but should not be fired due to the large bulge in the barrel. JWA
