Lot consists of (A) Colt Officers Model manufactured in 1909. Features include early high polish blue finish, 6" barrel, partridge front sight, windage adjustable rear sight, checkered trigger, hammer, and backstrap, flat top strap, and 2 piece Colt medallion pearl grips. Left side of barrel is marked "OFFICERS' MODEL .38", with 2 two line address across the top. Left side of frame is marked with the Rampant Colt within a "C" motif. Trigger, hammer, and frame screws are nitre blued. CONDITION: Metal components retain large amounts of their original high polish factory blue finish, exhibiting high edge wear, and several areas of thinning that are showing through to patina. Mirror bore, with well defined rifling throughout. 2 piece pearl grips are good, showing few handling marks aside from 2 losses by the butt on the front grip strap. (B) Colt Officer's Model Target manufactured in 1941. Features include blue finish, 6" barrel, partridge front sight, windage adjustable rear sight, flat matte top strap, checkered trigger, hammer, and back strap, and 2 piece Colt silver medallion checkered walnut grips. CONDITION: Metal components retain generous amounts of their original factory blue finish, exhibiting a few areas of wear and a few minor handling marks. Bright bore, showing some pitting and retaining good rifling throughout. Checkered walnut grips exhibit heavy smoothing to the checkering, with some scattered indentations and handling marks. A nice pair of Pre-War Colt Officers Model revolvers. -MLW-
