With an estimated 5900 Colt Officer's Model Target revolvers manufactured during the first year of production, this rare and seldom seen example features all blue finish, and is fitted with a 6" barrel which features a partridge front sight, with a windage adjustable rear sight on the flat matte top strap. The left side of the barrel is marked "COLT OFFICERS/MODEL .22 LONG RIFLE", with Colt's 2 line address across the top. Rampant Colt logo is present on the left side of the frame. Trigger, hammer, and backstrap are checkered. Complete with a 2 piece set of later production Colt checkered wood medallion grips. CONDITION: Metal components retain generous amounts of their original factory blue finish, exhibiting a few small scratches from handling and storage, and showing few areas of wear. Mirror bore, with sharp rifling throughout. Checkered wood grips show some wear to the checkering and a few handling marks.
