Colt Shooting Master double action revolver. Made 1936. "COLT SHOOTING MASTER .38" on the left side of a barrel, in addition to a rampant Colt pony on the left side of the frame. Standard patent dates on top of the barrel. Round, steel barrel with adjustable blade front sight and U-notch rear. Factory blued finish on all the metal components. Checkering on the front and rear grip straps, in addition to the trigger. Checkered wood grips with Colt medallions. CONDITION: Metal retains 80% of its original finish with some light areas of finish wear. Bore is shiny with crisp rifling. Tight hammer and cylinder. Good timing and lockup. Mechanically fine. JWA
