Manufactured in 1924, this Colt Army Special revolver features all blue finish and is mounted with a proper set of 2 piece Colt checkered hard rubber grips, hand scratched "478237" on the interior of both grip panels. The 6" barrel features a fixed half-moon blade front sight, with notched rear sights. The left side of the barrel is marked "COLT ARMY/ SPECIAL 32-20 W.C.F.", with Colt's 2 line address across the top. The left side of the frame is marked with the Rampant Colt logo. Trigger is smooth, with the hammer being checkered. Complete with non-matching, but proper Colt factory cardboard box, which has been sealed in plastic wrap. CONDITION: Metal components retain the vast majority of their original factory blue finish, exhibiting some small areas of wear and some scattered scratches from handling. Cylinder shows edge wear and bears a light dragline. Grip straps exhibit some thinning as well as some freckling. Mirror bore, with sharp rifling throughout. Checkered hard rubber grips show some scattered handling marks. Factory cardboard box shows some wear and losses to the boxes edges, with a few scattered handling marks. End label shows signs of aging and a few losses, but is otherwise good. A very nice example of a Colt Army Special revolver. -MLW-
