David F. Clark inspected U.S. Colt Single Action Army revolver. Right grip panel with DFC inspection cartouche. Left grip dated 1887 with JGB cartouche for Captain John G. Butler. "D.F.C". observed on barrel, frame, and cylinder. Small sub-inspection stamp "P" observed on barrel and cylinder. Blue with case hardened frame and hammer. 7 - 1/2" barrel chambered in .45 LC. 1-piece oil finished walnut grips. Serial number 119877 observed on barrel under ejector housing, frame, trigger guard, backstrap, and cylinder. Complete with 1881 pattern regulation flap holster and belt. CONDITION: Excellent as refinished, with 95% old reapplied finishes remaining. Bore is fine with moderate abrasions. Action is tight and crisp. Grips show light wear since restoration. Unmolested screws. Holster is excellent with supple leather. -MKS-
