Kentucky style half stock target style rifle with traits typical to Western Pennsylvania and Eastern Ohio manufactured rifles around 1840 to 1870. Full unmarked octagonal rifled barrel with globe front sight and adjustable rear sight measuring 1" across muzzle flats. Long top tang with blacksmith made "Lollipop" peep style threaded tang sight. "Whitmore & Wolff Pittsburgh" marked percussion lock controlled by double set triggers. Curly maple half stock with brass furniture including an oval capbox. Pewter nose cap with flat brass barrel keys. Comes with hardwood ramrod with covered worm to remove stuck loads in barrel. CONDITION: Metal parts have aged patina with some light discoloration. Brass has aged patina appearing a golden yellow. Stock has been cleaned with no visible repairs or restoration. Shootable bore with sharp rifling. Good mechanics with set trigger out of adjustment.
