Fox "Sterlingworth" Grade side by side shotgun built by the Savage Arms Corporation, Utica, New York made in 1939. Blued "Special Alloy"- "Forged Steel" marked barrels with matted rib and bead front sight. Left barrel is marked with Savage Address and "Proof Tested-16 Gauge- 2 -3/4 inch Chamber". Gun comes with automatic safety, double triggers, and extractors. Case hardened boxlock action with typical "Sterlingworth" border line engraving with "FOX STERLINGWOTH" stamped on each action side. Walnut checkered pistol grip stock with bakelite buttplate. Walnut checkered Savage semi-beavertail style forearm with friction release. CONDITION: Near mint blue on barrels with some small nicks and handling marks near chambers on breech. 99% vivid case colors with excellent screws. 99% original varnish with sharp checkering and some small handling marks. Phenomenal bores and handling marks. DLM
