A beautiful reverse painted lamp by Pittsburgh, with owl base. Often referred to as “Indian Encampment”, or “Call of the Wild”, this iconic scene is one of Pittsburgh’s bests. A teepee set in the forest with a pink glow from a smoldering campfire. The yellow moon reflects in the lake beneath, amidst a blue and purple night sky. The shade measures 18” across and is in excellent condition, free of any cracks, breaks, or repairs. Very small chip to inner edge of lower rim, which appears to be "as made", rather than the result of any impact or damage. Shade sits on an owl form base with a 3 socket cluster with acorn pulls. The base stands 22” tall and is finished in a dark brown patina, in excellent condition.
