Remington Model 1858 Army percussion revolver, serial number 122538. 8" .44 caliber octagon barrel with cone front sight and notched rear. Marked "PATENTED SEPT. 14. 1858" / "E. REMINGTON & SONS. ILION NEW YORK. U.S.A." / "NEW MODEL" on top flat of barrel. 2 piece plain walnut grips with "OWA" (O.W. Aimsworth) cartouche in rectangle on left grip panel. Comes with letter from Rafael Eledge of Shiloh Relics stating that this revolver is from the collection of Country Music Legend and avid gun collector Hank Williams Jr. CONDITION: Very good, with most of the original bluing remaining with moderate pitting overall and high edge wear. Grips are very good with moderate wear but no major sign of distress. Action works correctly and locks tightly. Bore is bright with modest abrasion toward muzzle and crisp rifling. -TN-
