Lot consists of: (A) Novelty US WWII propaganda poster of a Japanese Hunting License with colorful graphics. The poster measures 21: x 11 - 1/4" inside of the frame. The poster was used as propaganda against the Japanese as well as a recruitment tool for the US Marine Corps. CONDITION: The poster appears to have been taped to a wall during the war and all of the corners are ripped. There is a decent rip under the word "Jap" and a few slight tears throughout. The colors exhibit some fading. Overall fair. (B) Novelty US WWII Japanese Hunting License certificate from Motor Torpedo Boat Squadron 7. The certificate measures 12" x 10" inside the frame and was presented to L.J. Stuchlik by John D. Bulkeley. Buckeley retired from the Navy as a Vice Admiral and is one of the most decorated Navy Officers. He was the PT boat skipper who evacuated General Douglas MacArthur from Corregidor in 1942. He would later participate in the invasion of Normandy and command the USS Endicott. For his heroic actions during World War II, Buckeley was awarded the Medal of Honor. CONDITION: The certificate exhibits significant creases that have almost become tears. There is water damage throughout the center. Buckeley's signature exhibits slight fading. Overall fair. JD
