Square notch rear sight, serrated slope front sight. Normal 2-line 1-block Remington Rand rollmark. Barrel with HS on right lug and "P" on left lug. Narrow checkered hammer, long 1911 grip safety, thick tab checkered safety, serrated arched mainspring housing with lanyard loop, checkered magazine release, stamped checkered trigger. Keyes fiber grips. Dual pinned base magazine with "L" on baseplate lip for Little manufacture. Housed in a really neat repurposed cigar box with several lacquered on news headlines and photos relating to World War II and the ending proclamations and containing a silk SERE map of Southeast China, 4 10th Air Force patches, 2 China Burma India Theatre patches, 2 sets of 3 chevrons (sergeant), First Officer pilot bars, a doily with gothic W, 2 "US" buttons, and a Prop and Wings button. CONDITION: Very good, retaining the vast majority of the parkerized finish, with some normal handling marks throughout. Some silvering at areas consistent with holster wear at muzzle, dust cover, grip safety, high points. There is some blood pitting on left side of the slide. Action works appropriately when cycled by hand, bore is very good with good rifling and some light consistent frosting throughout. Accoutrements are very good, pilot bars appear cut off a uniform. A really neat historic set, that likely belonged to a pilot that flew the hump. EW
