Lot consists of: (A) Crescent Firearms Takedown rolling block single shot rifle with 24" round barrel chambered in .32 Short Rimfire with standard sights. Forearm is made of walnut and is mounted underneath barrel by a single screw. Stock consists of a rounded wooden pistol grip made of a light wood with a walnut insert near trigger guard for reinforcement. Assembly is mounted to tangs of the action by a tang screw. Stock assembly is threaded to accept a steel wire frame stock that is included with this lot. CONDITION: Good, with barrel turning a dove gray patina with scattered handling and storage marks. There is an area of heavy pitting on the right side of the barrel just above the forearm measuring approximately 1". Receiver retains faint traces of cyanide case hardening colors and is a gray patina overall with light pitting from storage. Forearm and stock assembly are good with cracks at tang and forearm on left side. Action works correctly when cycled by hand. Bore is frosted with moderate abrasion and crisp rifling. (B) Smith and Wesson Number 1 Third Issue single action revolver with 3" barrel chambered in .22 Short and bird's head rosewood grips. CONDITION: Good with virtually all of the original bluing turned to a dark grey patina with slight traces of bluing near recoil shield and consistent light pitting throughout from storage. Grips are good with finish turned dark and several repaired cracks on right grip panel. Action works correctly when cycled by hand and is tight. Bore is dark with heavy abrasion and visible rifling. Both guns come in a custom wooden case containing a Samson Steel fly fishing rod, a matchbox (empty), a box of .32 Rimfire Short ammunition made by Winchester, a razor, spare razor blades, spare fishing line, lures, a screwdriver, the head of a pipe, a strip of leather for sharpening, a knife, and a bottle opener. A great Sportsman's Kit that was made to be someone's luggage for a camping, fishing, or hunting trip. TON
