Greek Springfield Armory SAR-8 Sporter semi automatic rifle with box. Made late 1980s in Greece and imported by Springfield Armory. This is an "overstamp" rifle, meaning it was most likely caught in customs or was on its way from Greece when the ban was implemented. Left side of the magazine well is marked "SAR-8 SPORTER/EBO GREECE/MADE IN GREECE", while the right side is marked SAR8 7.62MM/SPRINGFIELD ARMORY USA/GENESEO, IL". Round, steel barrel with large thread protector. Post front sight with HK style drum rear. Factory black paint finish on the metal components. Wooden thumbhole sporter stock, with wide polymer forearm. Factory hang tag is attached to the trigger guard. Includes 1 Thermold 20 round magazine, manual, and factory box. CONDITION: Metal retains 98% of its original finishes with a few handling marks and scratches. Furniture is excellent. Bore is shiny with crisp rifling. Mechanically excellent. Looks to be unfired from the factory. Box and extras are excellent. JWA
