Lot consists of (A) Italian Verona Marked Youth training rifle. Made circa 1930s to resemble the M91 cavalry carbine and issued to Fascist youth programs. Marked "GRAZIAN/VERONA" on the top of the chamber, in addition to a "F.M.B.". Right side of the stock, has a cartouche marked "FRAZELLI GRAZIAN VERONA". Left side of the stock has a cartouche marked "COLLAUDO VERONA". Folding bayonet has a "29" over a diamond shaped proof on the inside. Barrel has no rifling. Blade front sight, with folding rear sight. Original finish on the metal components. Original wood stock as well. Includes attached possibly period cotton sling. Of note, these were intended to fire blank cartridges only. CONDITION: Metal retains little of its original finish with gray patina forming in most areas. Wood has a few handling marks and scratches. Bore is dark with some pitting. Mechanically operable. Sling is fair. (B) Italian Verona Marked Youth training rifle. Made 1937 to resemble the M91 cavalry carbine and issued a Fascist youth programs. Marked "GRAZIAN/VERONA" on the top of the chamber, in addition to a "F.M.B.". Nice Fascist crest on the receiver. Right side of the stock, has a cartouche marked "FRAZELLI GRAZIAN VERONA". Barrel has no rifling. Blade front sight, with folding rear sight. Original finish on the metal components. Original wood stock as well. Of note, these were intended to fire blank cartridges only. CONDITION: Metal retains little of its original finish with gray patina forming in most areas. Left side of the magazine well has a dent in it. Wood has a few handling marks and scratches. Bore is dark with some pitting. Mechanically operable.
