Measures 31 - 1/2" x 25 - 1/4". Framed Eley Sporting Shotshell cartridge board displaying their vast number of shotshell offerings in gauges ranging from 4 gauge to .360 bore. Top is marked "ELEY'S SPORTING" / "AMMUNITION" / "CENTRAL-FIRE GASTIGHT CARTRIDGE CASES". Approximately 21 shotshells with cardboard hulls and "low brass" ranging from 10 to 32 gauge in an arch below title on top with 12 gauge "PEGAMOID" shotshells on either side of arch with 3 small bore shotshells (.410 and .360 bore) on bottom of arch lined up vertically on either side. 12 - 12 gauge shotshells with various Eley trademark names in starburst around Eley trademark in center of board with one shotshell on far left detached and is loose in board. 3 shotshells ranging from 12 to 16 gauge below starburst with 6 cardboard crimp seals ranging from #4 to #6 shot labels. Bottom of board has 8 brass shotshells ranging from 32 to 10 gauge on right side and 8 cardboard "high brass" shotshells ranging from 32 to 10 gauge on left separated by 3 wads with 1 missing. Board concludes with 12 gauge solid brass, 8 gauge "high brass", 4 gauge, 8 gauge brass, and 16 gauge brass shotshells. Encased in what appears to be the original frame. CONDITION: Very good overall with cardboard background spotted with areas of mold throughout. Shotshells do not show any signs of restoration with colors fading and brass having light freckling throughout. Frame is good with cracking and peeling from handling on edges. PROVENANCE: From the collection of Nathan Posner, former owner of the San Francisco Gun Exchange and most recently on display at the Buffalo Bill Historical Museum of Cody, Wyoming. TON
