Lot contains: (A) Imperial German M1898 bayonet with "ERFURT" arsenal marked steel blade with moderate to heavy scatter marks and freckling. Steel fittings have heavy shallow freckling and cross guard is unit marked "9. J.1..120.", for the "9th company of the 1st Infantry Regiment, weapon #120. Wood grip panels have moderate wear and damage. Black leather scabbard is dull and dry, and steel fittings are unmarked with heavy freckling throughout. CONDITION: Overall good to very good. (B) Imperial German M98/05 serrated bayonet with a "ALEX COPPEL" marked steel blade dated "13" which has been heavily sharpened, and with scattered marks and light to heavy freckling. Steel fittings have freckling throughout and wood grip panels have moderate to wear and damage. Black leather scabbard is dull and dry with scattered marks, and steel fittings have shallow freckling throughout. CONDITION: Overall good to very good. (C) Wartime matching K98K bayonet and scabbard dated and made by "43ffc" with the serial numbers of "4165 b", and with 80-85% of its original blued finish on the blade. Fittings retain 55-60% of their blued finish, and Bakelite grip panels have light wear, with scattered marks. Blued steel scabbard has the matching number and date/ maker, and retains less than 30% of its blued finish, with scattered marks and freckling throughout. Early black leather frog with aluminum rivets has been added to the bayonet at some point, and with heavy wear. CONDITION: Overall good to very good. (D) Early war matching K98K bayonet and scabbard made by "Elite Diamond" with the serial numbers of "6938" and dated "40", with 80-85% of its original blued finish on the blade. Fittings retain 65-70% of their blued finish, and Bakelite grip panels have light wear. Blued steel scabbard has the matching maker, number, and date, and retains 65-70% of its blued finish with scattered marks. Early black leather frog with aluminum rivets is era attached, maker marked and dated "B 1936", and with light wear. CONDITION: Overall very good to excellent. (E) Dress bayonet with a "EICKHORN" marked nickel-plated blade with light to moderate runner and scattered marks. Fittings are dull and retain 85-90% of their nickel-plated finish with scattered marks and freckling. Black grip panels have light wear and damage. Blade is loose in its fittings. Steel scabbard retains 75-80% of its black painted finish with scattered marks and light freckling throughout. Correct black leather frog is attached with light wear. CONDITION: Overall very good. WZ
