Archival framed and matted program from Theodore Roosevelt's Rough Rider's farewell dinner, at the Menger Hotel, April 7, 1905. Site 15 1/2" x 9". Overall 23" x 18". The cover of the program is embellished with a color engraving of Theodore Roosevelt in his Rough Rider uniform. The reunion was held in San Antonio, Texas and culminated with this dinner. TR wrote a personal note in the program to William Stiles and his son Walter. "from the father of four boys, who bare all kinds of adventures and accidents, and are sometimes good and sometimes-well, not so good". The interior of the program is complete. Very scarce piece to find from TR's final reunion with his Rough Riders. CONDITION: Excellent. Accompanied by a description from the Raab Collection, Ardmore, PA. CG
