Savage 99 lever action rifle with scope. Made 1924. Standard patent dates on the barrel. "SAVAGE HI-PRESSURE STEEL/.250-3000" marked on the left side of the chamber. Matching serial on the handguard. 22" round, steel barrel with blade front sight buckhorn style rear. Added Lyman adjustable tang sight. Factory blued finish on the metal components. Oil finished wood stocks with checkering on the forearm and wrist, in addition to a capped pistol grip stock. Serrated metal butt plate. Includes attached Bausch & Lomb Balvar 8A scope and cradle style mount. Scope has a crosshair reticle. CONDITION: Metal retains 85% of its original finish with some areas of light wear and handling marks. Wood has minor scrapes and scratches. Bore has some frosting with some pitting near the muzzle. Mechanically fine. Scope is excellent with a clear optic. JWA
