Rare 18K gold Universal Geneve "Tri-Compax" wristwatch with chronograph, triple-date calendar and moon-phase, reference 181102. Circa 1970's. Case and bracelet are made in solid 18k yellow gold. Wonderful satin gold "sun burst" dial with light copper-brown sub-dials and engine-turned gold calendar sub-dial w/moon phase window and white tachymeter rehaut. Manual wind mechanical movement marked with calibre "281-P" and "Universal Geneve Swiss, Seventeen 17 Jewels, Unadjusted". Inside case-back marked "Universal Geneve (with "U" inside shield) Swiss 18K 0,750 1" with hallmarks. Acrylic crystal appears to be original as well, and is signed "U" within shield in the center. Crown is white metal, and also marked with the "U" logo. Bracelet is marked "48 18K Italy 750" inside clasp, and with the applied "U" logo. Case is hallmarked on reverse at upper left hand lug. This watch includes it's original box along with the "World Service" paper and a small "Tri-Compax" folding paper tag. The bracelet is adjustable, and the watch has a maximum overall length of 8.5". Overall, the watch is in excellent condition with a few small scratches to the case and case-back, and is in very good running order.
