Danish Contract Swedish production Husqvarna Model M-40 Lahti semi automatic pistol in 9mm. Made under license from Finland circa 1940s. This particular gun was sold to Danish police forces in order to fill a contract. "Rplt. S 15" marked on the right side of the frame, indicating Danish police use and the serial number in their inventory. Rear of the frame retains its "(Crown) / S.S." inspector stamp. "S.S" marked on the inside of the chamber as well. Import marked on the front of the frame , as well as "9mm" marked on the left side of the frame. Matching serials on the frame and slide. Matching serials on the frame and slide. Round, steel barrel with blade front sight and U-notch rear. Original blued finish. Stock lug retained on the rear grip strap. Original checkered bakelite grips. Includes original magazine. CONDITION: Metal retains 85% of its original finish with some wear and handling marks. Grips are excellent and tight fitting to the frame. Clean bore with crisp rifling. Mechanically fine. Magazine has light wear. JWA
