Lefever Arms Company "DS" (Durston Special) Grade side by side shotgun made from 1903 to the end of Lefever production. Blued "Dura" Steel barrels with matted rib and bead front sight, 2 screws added to secure the rib. Case hardened frame with "Lefever Arms Co. Syracuse, NY. U.S.A." on locks. Walnut checkered round knob pistol grip with black bakelite buttplate. Walnut checkered splinter forearm with friction release. CONDITION: Overall good with 70% original barrel blue fading to a silvery patina in spots. 80% case colors fading to silver. Wood has been sanded and finish added with appearance with usage marks and dings. Rib has scuff 6" back from bores. Good bores and mechanics. JTH
