Lot consists of (A) Smith & Wesson Model 15-4 double action revolver. Made 1977. Company address and trademark on the right side of the frame. Pinned barrel. 6 shot fluted cylinder. Square butt frame. Matching serials on the butt and frame. Round steel barrel with blade front sight and adjustable U-notch rear. Factory blued finish on the metal components. The butt of the frame has some touched up cold blue. Case colored serrated trigger and knurled spurred hammer. Checkered wood target grips with "S&W" monogram medallions. CONDITION: Metal retains 90% or more of its original finish with some handling marks and scratches. There are a few spots of wear on the right side of the barrel. Grips have a few handling marks and scratches. Clean bore with crisp rifling. Tight hammer and cylinder. Crisp timing and lockup. Light drag lines on the cylinder. Mechanically fine. (B) Smith & Wesson Model 48-3 double action revolver. Made 1977. Company address and trademark on the right side of the frame. Pinned barrel. 6 shot fluted cylinder. Square butt frame. Matching serials on the butt and frame. Round steel barrel with blade front sight and adjustable U-notch rear. Factory blued finish on the metal components. Case colored serrated trigger and knurled spurred hammer. Checkered wood target grips with "S&W" monogram medallions. CONDTION: Metal retains 90% of its original finish with general wear and handling marks. There is an area of cleaned pitting on the left side of the frame, under the grip panel. Grips are excellent with a few handling marks. Bore is clean with crisp rifling. Tight hammer and cylinder. Crisp timing and lockup. Light drag lines on the cylinder. Mechanically excellent. JWA
