Lot consists of: (A) Smith & Wesson Pre-Model 10 Detroit Police Department marked double action revolver. Made circa 1950. Company logo and address on the right side of the frame. "DETROIT POLICE 9993" marked on the backstrap. Round butt frame. 6 shot fluted cylinder. Matching serials on the barrel, butt and cylinder. Matching assembly numbers on the frame and crane. Pinned, round steel barrel with half moon blade front sight and U-notch cut out rear. Factory nickel finish on the metal components. Case colored serrated trigger with knurled spurred hammer. Checkered wood target grips with "S&W" monogram medallions. CONDITION: Metal retains 90% of its original finish with some light wear and scratches. Grips are excellent. Clean bore with crisp rifling. Tight hammer and cylinder. Sharp timing and lockup. Light drag lines on the cylinder. Mechanically excellent. (B) Smith & Wesson Model 10-7 double action revolver. Made 1981. Company logo on the left side of the frame, and the address on the right. Round butt frame. 6 shot fluted cylinder. Round, steel barrel with ramped blade front sight and U-notch cutout rear. Front sight blade is painted red. Factory blued finish on the metal components. Case colored serrated trigger with knurled spurred hammer. Checkered wood target grips with "S&W" monogram medallions. Includes a non matching blue Smith & Wesson flat board box marked 10-5. CONDITION: Metal retains 90% of its original finish with light wear and a few freckles of surface rust on the left side of the frame. Grips are excellent, with a few handling marks. Bore is clean with crisp rifling. Tight hammer and cylinder. Good timing and lockup. Light drag lines on the cylinder. Mechanically excellent. Box is near excellent. JWA
