Original 97 round .30-06 Lewis aircraft pan magazines, 1 of which retains its original leather carrying strap. 2 original brown canvas carriers in a original .303 steel carrying box with leather strap. Can retention latch is functional. Metal can retains loading tool. .30-06 cartridges are loaded in these pan magazines. CONDITION: Overall appearance and finish of pan magazines is extremely fine, exhibiting original finish with some moderate patina and light pitting on pan without the leather strap. Other pan has a much higher level of finish. Leather strap is supple and serviceable and is starting to crack. Canvas carriers are extremely fine to near excellent, in original condition with some slight corrosion to the metal hardware with some commensurate soiling at the contact points. Metal can retains original black paint, with scattered corrosion throughout, which should clean up well. Original textile markings on metal box are still partially legible. Leather carrying strap is intact and strong, with some slight green verdigris at brass retention studs. JWK 2021-04-03
