Remington Model 1903 bolt action rifle made at Remington Arms Company, Ilion, New York originally in August of 1942. "RA" marked barrel dated "7-42" with banded blade front sight marked with an "R" and "P" marking on underside. Rear graduated flip sight to 2800 yards and marked with an "R". Dark finished receiver with blued "R" marked swept back bolt handle. Walnut full military "S" style two bolt stock with "RLB" and "Crossed cannon" inspector marks with "S" and "P" in circle marks behind tang. Walnut high hump top wood. Correct milled trigger guard and late style checkered trap buttplate and "R" marked hardware. Comes with period looking green woven sling. CONDITION: Fading original finish with edges wearing to silver. Gun is full of grease. Wood has oil soaked appearance with handling and usage marks. Good bore with ME of 1 and TE of 1. Good mechanics. DLM
