M-1 Garand semi-automatic rifle made at Springfield Armory in December of 1943. British proofed with Birmingham proofs and tonnage markings. Springfield action with late style rear sight, "SA" marked bolt, "SA" marked cut op rod, and "SA" marked stamped late style trigger group. Unmarked Walnut stocks with correct hardware, cleaning kit in butt, and olive woven sling. No visible import marks. Comes with Garand style bakelite handled bayonet marked with "AEH" ,Flaming Bomb, and "US". Bayonet has green composite sheath with US Flaming Bomb marking. CONDITION: 90% reapplied arsenal finish with some light handling marks and dings. Gun has ME of 2 and TE of 7. Bayonet is unsharpened and has some handling wear and is probably a marriage to the gun. Great mechanics with seldom seen barrel markings. DLM
