Colt 1903 Pocket Hammer semi automatic pistol. Made 1914. Left side of the slide is marked "PATENTED/APR, 20.1897 SEPT 9. 1902." and "COLT'S PT. F.A. MFG CO./HARTFORD, CT U.S.A.". Right side of the slide is marked "AUTOMATIC COLT/CALIBRE 38 RIMLESS SMOKELESS". Rampant Colt pony in a circle on the left side of the slide. "VP" proof on the left side of the trigger guard. Half moon front sight with U-notch rear. Original finish on the frame and slide, worn to a patina in most areas. Aftermarket checkered plastic grips. CONDITION: Metal retains 50% of its original finish with wear and gray patina forming in areas. Grips are excellent. Bore is frosted with very good rifling. Magazine has light wear. Unmarked blued steel magazine. Mechanically fine. JWA
