Flint lock unsigned Kentucky style rifle with traits of Lehigh County, Pennsylvania made circa 1820. Rifled octagonal smoothbore barrel with blade front sight with Lehigh style 2 line marks in front of and behind front sight with same marks around rear notch sight. Roman nosed curly maple stock with slight egg shaped wrist. 2 piece brass engraved patchbox with floral finial. Pinched wide bow Philadelphia or Lehigh style trigger guard. Flint 2 bolt lock marked "TRYON Philadelphia" controlled by a blacksmith made trigger. Flat barrel keys with brass escutcheon plates. German silver thumbpiece. Comes with hardwood ramrod. CONDITION: Possible original flint lock with aged patina metal wear. Brass has aged patina with some lifting and dents and added nails. Wood is missing some slivers along forestock on both sides. Dark bore with functioning mechanics. DLM
