A beautiful and rare reverse painted table lamp by Handel. The shade features a soft blue/gray background with trees, yellow and pink flowers, and highly colorful parakeets. The shade is just under 18” in diameter and is in excellent condition, free of any cracks, breaks, or repairs, with no appreciable loss to the paint. There are a few very small chips to the lower rim and a tiny spot of what appears to be house paint on the inside of the shade, not visible from the outside. The shade is signed “Broggi” to the inside rim and "Handel" to the shade ring. The shade sits on a three-socket urn-shaped Handel base. The base is finished in a rich brown patina, and is in excellent condition, free of cracks, dents or deformities. There is a thin, 1/2" area of loss to the patina at the neck. One of the sockets does not appear to work. Base is signed "Handel".
This is not a standard shippable item and will require 3rd party shipping or pickup arrangements to be made.
