Lot consists of (A) Excavated Whitney Second Model 3rd type Navy revolver made from the late 1850s to the 1860s recovered at unknown location and date. 7 - 1/2" octagon barrel with empty 6 shot cylinder. Brass trigger guard. CONDITION: As found condition with heavy pitting and stuck mechanics missing mainspring and wood. (B) Starr Arms Company Model 1858 Double Action Army revolver in dug condition. Made from the late 1850s to the early 1860s. Recovered from unknown location and at unknown date. Round 6" barrel with empty 6 round cylinder and iron hardware. CONDITION: As recovered with condition having pitting but possibly maybe found in dryer area because lack of deep pitting. Gun still partially functions with missing part of trigger and wood grips.
