Circa 1974. This boxlock 12 gauge shotgun is built with 26" dovetail barrels. Barrels are fit with 2 - 3/4" chambers, ejectors, and a crosshatched flat top tapered rib. Rib has a large steel front bead sight. Muzzle and breech are engraved with bands. Left barrel reads "ABERCROMBIE & FITCH" and "MADE IN ITALY". Barrel flats stamped with appropriate Italian proof marks and read with guns serial number "1324". Barrel flats are also stamped "F.LLI RIZZINI". Bottom of left barrel stamped with three *** and bottom of right barrel stamped with four **** . Three stars designate a modified choke and four stars designate Improved Cylinder for choke. The darkly case color hardened boxlock scalloped action is built with a case colored single mechanical trigger and is auto safe. Safe slide is case hardened and checkered. The word safe is engraved ahead of the safe slide. Action is engraved with scrolls and fences are carved. The trigger is protected by a blacked trigger guard with scroll engraving and vignette for initials. Top lever is case hardened, engraved, and pierced. The medium-brown colored stock with fine line checkered English straight grip also has drop points, oval for initials, and a checkered butt. The matched checkered splinter forend with Anson-styled release has black iron metal and is engraved. CONDITION: Very Good. Barrels retain 98% original black with only a few minor surface marks. Action is sound, trigger is crisp and ejectors are in time. Stock and forend with minor handling marks. Nice game gun. CP
