Standard configuration P.08 manufactured by Mauser in 1942 for German military sales. The receiver is stamped "42" over the chamber, with Mauser eagle over "135" waffenamts present on the right hand side. Toggle bears Mauser's "byf" code. Matching numbers include the frame, locking bolt, trigger, sideplate, safety lever, barrel, receiver, breechblock, firing pin, extractor, toggles, and receiver axle. Black checkered grips and magazine bottom of comprised of bakelite. Blued magazine is marked "fxo". Complete with a 1942 dated P.08 holster stamped "ccw" followed by "1942" and "P.08" on the rear panel. CONDITION: Metal components retain the vast majority of what appears to be their reapplied blue finish, exhibiting few minor areas of wear overall. Receiver is slightly proud to frame. Bore is bright, showing light oxidation and retains good rifling throughout. Black bakelite grips show show scattered nicks and impressions to the diamonds, but are otherwise sturdy and serviceable. Holster is very good, showing some scattered areas of handling marks and light crazing. Loading tool flap is partially torn on one side. A nice World War II production Mauser P.08 pistol. MLW
