A large Austrian Art Nouveau patinated cast bronze and marble sculpture depicting a Native American chief on horseback, reaching down to rescue his fellow fallen friend as his horse stumbles atop a red marble base. The sculpture is signed "C. Kauba”. C. 1900. Bronze is in excellent condition, free of any breaks, dents or repairs. The patina is very well preserved with no appreciable loss. The horse with the mounted rider sits loose and can be shifted slightly when pushed, though still remains firmly attached. Marble stand in excellent condition.
