Soviet Russian Tula SKS semi-automatic rifle with box. Made 1953 at the Tula Arsenal. Tula star and "1953" on the dust cover. Standard Russian proofs on the chamber area. Import marked on the right side of the receiver, with an importer applied serial number as well. Matching serials on the receiver, bolt, carrier, dust cover, magazine, trigger guard, and stock (forced matched). Blade bayonet still attached. Hooded post front sight with rear sight adjustable to 1,000 meters. Arsenal refurbished black enamel finish on the metal components. Lacquered laminate wood stock and handguard. Metal buttplate with trapdoor and cleaning kit on the inside. Includes importer box, original green canvas sling, metal oil bottle, and 1 10-round stripper clip. CONDITION: Metal retains 98% of its black enamel finish with a few handling marks. Few spots of minor surface rust around the bayonet mount. Stock is excellent. Bore is shiny with crisp rifling. Mechanically fine. Accessories and box are excellent. JWA
