1891 vintage Winchester Model 1886 rifle, serial number 57262. 26" octagon barrel with full length magazine tube. Standard blade front and fold down ladder rear sights. Chambered in .45-70 cartridge. Blue with case hardened frame, lever, hammer, forearm cap, and buttplate. Plain straight grain walnut stock and forearm. Rifle style crescent buttplate. CONDITION: Fine overall. Barrel and magazine tube are a light brown patina. Case hardened components turned a "nickel" patina. Wood is sound showing moderate wear. Bore is good with light abrasion. Action is tight and crisp. Would make a good shooter. MKS
