Lever action magazine rifle made by the Bullard Repeating Arms Company, Springfield, Massachusetts between 1886 and 1890 with around 11000 made. Special order half round half octagon rifled blued barrel with sheared blade front sight and graduated flip rear sight. Case hardened lever action with blued 2/3rds magazine and sling swivels. Walnut deluxe checkered pistol grip stock with shotgun butt. Walnut checkered forearm with typical diamond pattern checkering. CONDITION: Metal turning a brown patina with some light freckling and surface discoloration with case colors fading to a silvery patina. Wood has added coat of varnish with buttstock being a possible replacement with style not matching usual Bullard configuration. Dark shootable bore with functioning mechanics. Hard to find rifle in respectable condition. DLM
