Manufactured in 1886. This is a 1st Model open top with an action lock or safety in the trigger guard. Full blue finish gun. Plain walnut rear stock, checkered panel front stocks and crescent buttplate. Full length tube magazine. Round barrel with a Rocky Mountain front sight and a sporting rear sight. The hammer is case colored. Colt two-line address on top of the barrel and the Rampant Colt logo on the left side of the receiver. All stampings are crisp and bright. CONDITION: Gun retains 20% of the original factory-applied blue finish in the protected areas with the remainder of the gun turning a pleasing brown patina. Front and rear stocks show some slight handling and storage marks. Wood has been cleaned and the checkering is flat. Good bore showing son slight frosting with sharp lands and grooves. REW
