Colt Officer's Model Target double action revolver. Scarce wartime production gun, made 1943. Left side of the barrel is marked "COLT OFFICERS/MODEL .22 LONG RIFLE", with the company address and patent dates on the top of the barrel. Rampant Colt pony on the left side of the frame. "VP" proof on the top left of the trigger guard. Round, steel barrel. Adjustable post front sight blade with adjustable u-notch rear. Factory blued finish on the metal components. Checkered trigger face. Polished and spurred hammer. Factory checkered plastic grips. CONDITION: Metal retains 95% of its original finish with light wear and scratches. Grips are excellent. Bore is shiny with crisp rifling. Tight hammer and cylinder. Sharp timing and lockup. Light drag lines on the cylinder. Mechanically excellent. JWA
