1895 vintage Colt Single Action Army, serial number 161619. 4 - 3/4" round barrel chambered in .45 Long Colt with two line Colt Hartford, CT address, blade front sight, and frame notch rear. Matching serial numbers observed on butt, trigger guard, and frame. 2 piece period replacement ivory grips. Complete with 1919-1955 vintage H.H. Heiser of Denver, Colorado holster. Comes with factory letter stating that this gun was shipped on July 1, 1895 along with 34 other guns to Simmons Hardware Company of St. Louis, Missouri. Per the factory letter, grips are listed as "Not Listed" which means that it originally had standard wood or gutta percha grips. CONDITION: Good, with virtually all of the original finishes turned to a cleaned gunmetal gray patina. Grips are well fitting and strong with no major signs of distress. Action works appropriately when cycled by hand. Bore is frosted with modest abrasion and visible rifling. Holster is excellent with leather supple and stitching intact. A very cool old cowboy gun complete with holster. TON
