Matching (or partial matching) numbers observed on left side of breech, frame, subframe, rear of hammer, bolt locking block, bolt, bolt locking block, sear, magazine baseplate, and both grip scales. There is an additional small "5" stamped on subframe, internally, on top. Inspector proofs visible on bottom of chamber. Grips have iconic red "9" in grips, indicating 9mm instead of .30 Mauser, which could lead to an explosive mistake. Small ring configuration. Fire blued safety, extractor, and sight adjuster, with blue on rear sight under adjuster. With an appropriately sized stock with leather rig containing an unidentified block of metal in pouch normally reserved for spare magazine spring. Magazine marked on rear "DETSCHE / SIGNALFLAGGEN-FABRIK.KARLSRUHE I.B. / 1918" and a faded "BAXY" (?). CONDITION: Good as refinished, retaining the majority of that refinish with some scattered areas of oxidation and silvering to high edges. Hammer and bolt have some oil staining. Action works appropriately when cycled by hand, bore is very good with strong rifling and light frosting throughout. Leather is very good with serviceable stitching and crazing throughout. Stock is very good, hinge with a spotting patina and some oil staining but free of cracks and chips. EW
