Colt Model 1878 double action 6 shot revolver made by Colt Firearms Hartford, Connecticut in 1897. Blued 4 -3/4" round rifled barrel with blade front sight and blued ejector rod with 2 line Colt address and caliber "32 WCF" markings on barrel. Blued double action receiver with blued fluted 6 shot cylinder. Colt checkered hard rubber grips with "Rampant Colt" in oval and on corner by grip and lanyard loop on butt. Factory letter indicates shipment as a blue 4 - 3/4" .32-20 gun shipped to The Tomkin LaSalle Hardware Co., Mobile, Alabama, in a shipment of 3 sent November 27th, 1896. CONDITION: 70% fading blue with balance fading to a plum patina. Good grips, bore and mechanics. DLM
