A very fine Colt Official Police double action revolver. Made 1962. Left side of the barrel is marked "OFFICIAL POLICE/.38 SPECIAL CTG.", while the right is marked "COLT'S MFG. CO. HARTFORD, CT. U.S.A.". Rampant Colt pony marked on the left side of the frame. "VP" proof on the top left of the trigger guard. Blade front sight with u-notch cut out rear. Factory blued finish on the metal components, minus the hammer which is polished. Checkered plastic grips. CONDITION: Metal retains 98% of its original finish, with only a few handling marks. Grips have some very light wear, and a few minor dents. Bore is shiny with crisp rifling. Mechanically fine. Tight hammer and cylinder. Cylinder has a very light drag line. A very fine Colt official police! JWA
