Ca. 1977. A very nice Italian game gun built with 28 - 1/2" chopper lump barrels. Blued steel barrels with 2 - 3/4" chambers, ejectors, matt raised rib and round white front bead sight. Top of right barrel is engraved with the importer "PACHMAYR LTD . PASADENA . CA . USA." Top of left barrel is marked "MARIO BESCHI GARDONE . VT . ITALY". Barrels flats are stamped with appropriate Italian proof marks. Barrels are choked Full (left) and Modified (right). Bottom of the right barrel is stamped KG1.350 and 18.4 and bottom of the left barrel is stamped 18.4. The sidelock action has gold line cocking indicators, is adorned with a coin finish, and is covered with rose and scroll style engraving. The action's jeweled water table has Italian proof marks, serial number and is engraved "BESCHI". The action has an engraved blued top lever with both sides for thumb checkered, scroll engraved long bottom strap is engraved with the guns serial number. The blued right hand fully engraved rolled edge trigger guard protects the gun's single inertia trigger. Non-auto safe action has "SICURA" engraved in front of the slide safety and also is equipped with disk set strikers. The nicely figured European walnut stock has a finely checkered English straight hand grip with drop points and a checkered butt with a removeable non-slip strip attached. A matching splinter forend has matching engraving on forend metal and Anson style button release. This gun is housed in a green canvas makers case. CONDITION: Barrels appear to have benefited from a re-blue and retains 90% blue with wear at muzzles and where forend rubs the barrels. The frame and locks are in good condition. Stock and forend have handling and storage marks. CP
