Circa 1906. 30" handsome brown Damascus barrels and are Nitro proofed (1971) for 2 - 1/2" chambers. Barrel rib with extension and small round front bead sight. Rib reads "ARMSTRONG & Co. NEW CASTLE - ON TYNE.". Bottom of left barrel reads "41513" for serial number. Chokes are Improved Cylinder and Cylinder. Scalloped boxlock action with faint case colors is engraved with border scrolls and game scenes of doves flying through field (1 shot) on left, pheasants flying through field on right and bottom action with scrolls. Action fitted with case colored double triggers, auto safe, "SAFE" in gold, and blued top lever with checkered thumb. The blued trigger guard with light engraving extends through a long scroll engraved bottom strap with guns serial number "41513". Vintage walnut stock with flat top checkering on its English straight hand grip with oval for initials and a checkered wooden butt plate. Length of pull 14 - 5/8". Matched flat top checkered forend with Anson release. CONDITION: Very good. Barrels retain mostly all of their brown Damascus. Action is mechanically sound. Stock and forend in tact with handling marks, with flat top checkering. CP
