Late second model rifle manufactured circa 1881. Blued 28" round barrel chambered in .45-60 with 2-line Winchester address and full length magazine tube. Blade front sight and ladder rear. Plain walnut forend and stock with steel forend cap and crescent rifle butt containing tool compartment. CONDITION: Very good. Traces of factory applied blued finish retained with balance turning to a pleasing brown patina. Cartridge elevator exhibits a mustard patina with caliber marking softened. Stocks have some impressions. A partial stable split runs along right side of stock. Good bore. Action cycles correctly but lever is a little loose. BAS
