Includes original individual boxes and set box. Set box is marked "Outfit No. 181 for O-Gauge Track". Includes black No. 262 steam-type engine with cowcatcher and brass trim, matching eight-wheel Lionel Lines tender with brass journal boxes and three freight cars: a No. 814 ivory automobile car, a No. 812 dark green gondola and a No. 817 peacock blue two-tone caboose. All three cars have nickel journal boxes, but copper trim. Beautiful complete set came from original owner's family. Individual original boxes look complete, some small tearing and edge wear to boxes. Set box is crisp, has beautiful picture of boys playing with Lionel trains. Also comes with a lot of accessories, including boxed No. 020 O-gauge crossing, a B-type 75 watt transformer in its original box, a box is O-gauge track, a No. 81 controlling rheostat, a small telephone pole, a bottle of old engine oil, some literature and a box of connecting ties. Extremely complete set, probably as it was when it was bought new. Very little wear to train engine, tender or cars, a few small play nicks here and there. The automobile furniture car does have some slight oxidation and edge wear on one side above frame.
